In October 1998, 21-year-old student Matthew Shepard is brutally attacked, tied to a fence post, and left to die just outside Laramie, Wyoming. In the aftermath, the Tectonic Theatre Project travels to the town to conduct interviews and uncover the deep divisions and raw emotions surrounding the crime, the community, and identity of Laramie. Produced in 2018, this production coincided with the 20th anniversary of Matthew’s death.
